Havelian was declared as a Cantonment in the year 1983 and its boundaries were declared vide per Govt of Pakistan MOD bearing SRO No.368/(I)82, dated 17th April, 1983. 

PCB (MD POF Havelian) was assigned the powers of the Board as Administrator till the constitution of proper Board under section 13 A of the Cantonments Act 1924.

After local government elections in Cantonments in  September, 2021, first time a proper Board has been constituted.

 Cantonment has been divided into 02 wards

Havelian Board comprises:-

• President Cantt Board Havelian  (MD POF Havelian)

• Vice President Cantt Board Havelian 

• Elected Member

• Military Member (Nominated) 

• Health Officer (Nominated)

• Secretary (Cantt Executive Officer CB Havelian)
